My client is a market leading Online Travel Company who are currently searching for an eCommerce Systems Analyst to provide end to end support for a combined production and development environments on a 24x7basis and including monitoring, maintaining and supporting a variety of hardware systems, batch processes, applications, network devices, and databases.
This position also requires you to stay abreast of current technologies and contributes and participates in the analysis and recommendation of new strategies and/or technologies to improve the e-commerce systems environment.
Responsibilities within this role include:-
* Code deployment for all supported platforms.
* Specific duties include: maintaining, developing, and supporting NMS systems, web/application server administration and architecture, security, and hardware maintenance, web support services, monitoring, and scripting. Co-ordinates and tracks work flow, schedules, projects and technology decisions. Maintains required documentation, determines capacity requirements, and projects site enhancements.
* Assists in the architectural design of the company's web site. Facilitates the provision and maintenance of site functionality. Provides and maintains shared resources and site management tools (such as templates and scripts). Assists departments and administrative units (QA, project teams, etc.) in interpreting and adhering to standards.
* Scripting capabilities (i.e. Perl/bash/ksh,etc).
* Unix administration (Solaris 9, 10, Linux), ATG Dynamo 6.3x., Apache, Red Hat and CentOS Linux, SUN/Dell hardware, NMS support, management, and development (OpenNMS, Cricket, ProactiveNet), BEA WebLogic, Resin, LDAP, JBOSS, Akamai and Bind (DNS).
* Support the 24x7 operations environment by working nights and weekends when necessary. Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance windows.
* Provide internal operational support for a wide variety of clustered systems, stand alone servers, applications, batch processes, load balancers, various network LAN/WAN devices, batch processes, and databases for corporate and eCommerce infrastructure.
* Day-to-day live-site investigations of our enterprise infrastructure of UNIX servers.
* Provide training, direction, and mentoring for other team members.
* Works closely with Program Management, Product Development, Test and Site Operations teams for the deployment, configuration, system requirement validation and support of multiple services across an expansive and diverse production environment.
* Identifies and provides for global dependencies such as DNS requirements, and external dependencies. Implements said designs and responsible for maintaining compliance with environmental security and trust worthy computing policies.
* Independently drives complicated system related issues to resolution across multiple services and groups with little or no supervision.
* Summarizes key elements of a technical problem and assigns cases to internal and external partners as necessary.
* Provides detailed documentation of issue being worked and following all proscribed processes.
